Rosie and foster care
http://dudeindc.blogspot.com/2008/11/rosie-pro-life.html
Rosie ODonnel, a great person -- responding here to a post about pro-life in her blog
with the thought that half a million kids are in foster care -- "Love them" she says
I say right on!

Nebraska safe haven child drop offs - shock and awe
Of the 17 or so children relinquished since the law took effect in July, only four are younger than 10 http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95843541
Imagine the jaw-dropping moment when the 10, 11 or 12 year old lands in the ER and watches his or her parent actually walks out the door - broken children that will never heal! Unimaginable pain! The state can find food and shelter but no solace. As a CASA, I have seen the heartbreak up close.

Good Friends are like stars
You cannot always see them but they are there....I want to send this message to kids who I care about in DC but don't see everyday. I haven't seen my CASA child in little while but hopefully will soon.
